Fall Tag: A Bunch of Fall Fun

So this fall tag is a little different than my usual content, but I always find blogger tags SO much fun. I just love getting to know all of my internet friends, and hopefully you’d like to get to know me, too! Typically, I participate in more Twitter tags, so this is the first fully-written-out-article I’m doing! I was originally tagged by Christiana by Casually Christiana, another awesome Wisconsin blogger, and this fall tag was created by Ell Duclos.

What IS a “tag”?

If you’re unfamiliar with these types of posts, a “tag” article is usually a list of questions created (and answered) by the original poster, and they “tag” other bloggers to participate! You know, like the classic playground game. At the end of this post, I’ll be tagging other bloggers to say they’re “it”, and they can participate if they want to! It’s a fun way to get to know everyone involved!

1. What is one candle you MUST light every fall?

Ooooooh, this is a tough one! Basically any food-smelling candle. I just really love food. So if there’s a crisp apple one, apple pie, pumpkin pie, anything of that sort, it’s mine! I prefer sweet food scents over generic musk/nature type of scents. Because what does “crisp fall air” really smell like, and how the heck do that manage to make that into candle form!?

2. When you think of fall, what does it remind you of?

First impressions USA

The impending doom that is 5 months of freezing cold winter in Wisconsin…

That sounds terrible, but yeah. I’m not a fan of cold weather, and winter in Wisconsin is so. incredibly. long. Even if there’s no snow, it’s just freezing cold for far too long.

3. What is your all time favorite fall/Halloween movie?

The Halloweentown series BY FAR. Marnie was my favorite (the original actor, of course), and I just really love the idea of a magical world. I’ve always love fantasty, mythical, otherworldly movies and books. Anything that could take me on a “trip” out of reality.

4. What Halloween costume do you have in mind?

Honestly, I’m usually not a fan of Halloween. I actually more or less don’t like it, so it’s been YEARS since I dressed up for it. Maybe circa 2009 when I was a vampire? I don’t know. BUT THIS YEAR, I’m actually going to Freak Fest in Madison, WI with a couple other girlfriends of mine, and we wanted to do a fun trio outfit. We finally (literally just yesterday) decided on Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather from Sleeping Beauty! I’m actually pretty excited for what we have planned for our outfits… No spoilers here, but I’ll be posting it on my Instagram in a few weeks.

5. What is your favorite fall trend?

Is pumpkin spice a trend? Seriously I love all the pumpkin spice treats: PS cheesecake, PS lattes, PS cereal… Anything pumpkin spice that I can eat, I’m so down.

I’m sure this question was probably related to fashion, and here I am making it all about food. I’m sure none of you are really that surprised…

6. When you think of fall, what drink comes to mind?

Uh, did you even just read my answer to the last question?

Pumpkin.

Spice.

Lattes.

7. What is your go to fall beauty product? A must have staple?

Honestly, I wear the same kind of thing year round. I’d say *maybe* I gravitate to wearing darker lip colors, but I wear any lip color I want regardless of the time of the year. I just might wear a dark red/purple more often in the fall.

I know, hidden interest/talent of mine is that I’m absolutely OBSESSED with makeup. You should see (or, probably not) how many lipsticks I have. Let’s just say they’re organized on a rotating tower… Well, it’s a hidden interest to my general audience here. Anybody that knows me in real life is well aware of my makeup/lipstick addiction. I very well could have been a beauty blogger, but… the thought of tons of pictures of my face sounds horrifying.

8. Do you prefer apple pie or pumpkin pie?

I love a good pumpkin pie, hands down. Although, my favorite pie of all time is a very specific apple pie. It’s the apple pie made by my old parochial elementary school that is a fundraiser. We get their apple pies every single year, and I’ve been out of that school since 2008. You can say we’re pretty big fans!

9. Do you have any fall traditions? If so tell us all about it!

My fall traditions have since been dwindling as I get older. I used to looooove carving pumpkins. Then at 16 years old, I realized I only loved it when my dad actually cut into the pumpkin. It’s a pain in the ass slicing into a pumpkin! I do love a good caramel apple, and my absolute favorite one is at Borzynski’s Farm & Floral Market in town here! They have a massive apple selection AND a massive selection of toppings! Even better… there’s no limit as to how much junk you want to pile on it. I always choose to get my apple sliced for maximum amount of caramel and space for toppings. YUM.

10. The moment of truth, is fall your favorite season?

Oh hellllll no. I’m a summer girl ALL THE WAY. Don’t get me wrong, fall is beautiful. I love the colors, and the 60 degree weather. I just dislike that it only lasts 2-3 weeks, then everything looks DEAD, and it’s 40 and below.

So here are the four lovely bloggers I tag, but no harm if you don’t participate!

Jill from Kentucky Makeup Junkie

Kat from Bright Lights of America

Srna from A Crush on Life

Laura from There Goes Laura
